The major highway through the Laurentians is the 15, which cuts right through the heart of the region. Above Ste-Agathe, the highway turns into the 117, which continues into the north to Tremblant Resort and on passed Mont Laurier. Most of the areas, towns, villages and resorts are located just off these highways.
The Laurentians are blessed with unspoiled natural areas. A favorite, Parc du Mont Tremblant, protects a large area of the beautiful Laurentians mountains and provides for a wealth of outdoor activities. Other opportunities exist in the areas Nature Reserves, ZECs, Regional Parks and Forests. The region also has dozens of Lakes and Rivers.
Even if you're pressed for time, don't miss a trip to Mont Tremblant Park. This beautiful area is open year round and supports a wealth of activities including front country and backcountry camping, white water canoeing, mountain biking, hiking and backpacking. In the winter, the park is well know for its cross country skiing, There is also winter camping and snow shoeing in the park.
